Today we are announcing that we are increasing the price of Crowd Control Pro, our monthly add-on subscription, from $5 to $7.99 USD per month, effective Sunday July 30, 2023. We know that this may come as a surprise to current users, but we believe that this is necessary to better support our staff and continue to provide you with the best possible service.

What is Crowd Control Pro?

Just a reminder: Crowd Control is completely free to use, and Crowd Control Pro is an optional add-on that unlocks additional features. You do not need to purchase Crowd Control Pro to use Crowd Control.

For those who may not be aware, Crowd Control Pro is a monthly subscription add-on for streamers that unlocks some of the most requested Crowd Control features. Which include:

• Adjusting the amount and frequency of free coins viewers can redeem (making Crowd Control usable in non-Affiliate or Partnered Twitch channels)
• Adjusting the amount of coins Twitch subs can receive every month
• Adjusting the Channel Point to Crowd Control Coins conversion
• Sending effects anonymously as a viewer, and more.

Up-to-date features of Crowd Control Pro. All of these Pro features will be available on 2.0 launch day.

Why the Price Increase?

We understand that this price increase may be a concern for some of you. However, it is important to note the main reason for this price increase.

Crowd Control Pro features better suit smaller communities that, while are the backbone of our user base, don’t necessarily generate enough revenue to sustain our company and staff. By increasing the price of Crowd Control Pro, we can ensure that we are able to continue building Crowd Control for communities of all sizes without compromising on the quality of our service.

We have a strong set of features in development that will become Pro-only, including “AutoBot” a feature we discussed last week on our Twitter that seemed to get our community excited.

We appreciate your continued support and loyalty, and we want to offer a special deal to our current and new subscribers. If you are already a Crowd Control Pro user OR subscribe by this Saturday, July 29, at 11:59 pm CT, you will be able to keep the current rate of $5 per month as long as you don’t unsubscribe. This deal also includes the yearly plan, which already saves you 2 months. However, if you cancel your renewal at any point, you will have to pay the new price of $7.99 per month. Unfortunately, there won’t be any exceptions.

We understand that price changes can be difficult to navigate, and we want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. We believe that this price increase will allow us to continue providing the best possible service to our users and ensure that we are able to support our staff.
