NOTE: Dec 11, 2025: We have updated our mod! This has been a rebuild and includes some of our newer methods. Please let us know if you notice any issues with this update!
1. Start with the App
- Open Crowd Control Desktop App
- Select Palworld from the game list
- Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of app)
- Game Path selection:
- Steam: This should auto-select the path for you!
- GamePass: This should be the “Palworld” install folder, which is typically at
C:\XboxGames\Palworld
- Game Path selection:
2. Test Before You Stream
- You can only test effects after pressing “Start Session” in the Crowd Control app
- Always test a few effects before going live to confirm effects trigger as expected
Skipping this step can lead to broken streams and confusion!
Mod Compatibility
- Our mod is built using REUE4SS v3.0.1
- Other mods may work, but have not been tested with Crowd Control.
- If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control.
No mod conflicts reported so far!
- If you find a mod that causes issues, let us know!
Alternative Download:
- Mod package: CrowdControl-Palworld.zip
Troubleshooting
- Game crashing when loading a save: This is a known issue but should happen rarely. Try relaunching the game! If you get consistent crashing, please report to our discord!
Notes
- More effects, as well as a separate dedicated server mod are planned.
- This pack is currently intended for SINGLE PLAYER ONLY!
- Some effects may work in Multiplayer, however… effects that don’t work will be hidden from your menu and there may be other unknown issues.
- Other mods may work, but will have limited support at this time. If you have a mod that works well, let us know!
- Other mods will deliver “xinput” files with their mod. We have found that renaming those to “dwmapi.dll” is more stable.
- If you installed the CC mod, “dwmapi.dll” will already exist, so you may need to delete other xinput files.
- The CC app may remove xinput files when doing an automated install.
- Other mods will deliver “xinput” files with their mod. We have found that renaming those to “dwmapi.dll” is more stable.
