Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
Install the Crowd Control Desktop App and follow the General Setup Guide
1. Start with the App
- Open Crowd Control Desktop App
- Select Super Mario Bros. from the game list
- Follow the Auto Setup checklist (right side of app)
Each item will guide you through required steps.
2. ROM Requirements
- Must be the original NES PRG1 version with MD5:
86D1982FEA7342C0AF9679DDF3869D8D - After setup, you’ll see “Crowd Control” on the title screen.
3. (Optional) Randomizer
- Supported Randomizer: The SMB3 Randomizer Project
4. Test Before You Stream
- You can only test effects after pressing “Start Session” in the Crowd Control app
- Always test a few effects before going live to confirm effects trigger as expected
Skipping this step can lead to broken streams and confusion!
Common Issues
World 7 – All effects queue
Overworld – you may need to disable some effects:
- Hammer Bro Items (like Hammer)
- Hammer Bro
- P-Switch
