Automatic Setup

We suggest using the Crowd Control Desktop app to install the mod!

1. Before installing any mods, launch the game normally through Steam to ensure the Denuvo DRM is up-to-date.

2. Select “Sonic Superstars” from the CC desktop app.

3. Install the mod using our desktop app.

4. Launch the game using the CC desktop app.

5. Press START and test effects!

Manual Setup

1. Before installing any mods, launch the game normally through Steam to ensure the Denuvo DRM is up-to-date.

2. This mod relies on BepInEx. You can follow this guide for more info: https://gamebanana.com/games/start/18552

3. You can download the mod here: CrowdControl-SonicSuperstars.zip

4. Extract the dll file from the zip above into your BepInEx\plugins or BepInEx\plugins\CrowdControl

5. Download our ccver file and place it in the root of your SonicSuperstars install folder.

6. Open the CC desktop app, and launch the game!

7. Test effects using the Effect Manager in the desktop app!

Troubleshooting

“The server is not accessible. Please check your internet connection.”

This issue occurs if you have not recently opened the game without mods. This is caused by the BepInEx mod, which our integration depends on, blocking Denuvo’s access to the internet to verify your copy of the game.

To fix this, in most cases you can simply open the game normally through Steam, then go back to the Crowd Control app and relaunch the game through there.

If you continue to face issues, hold Alt and left click on the Mod Installed button in the Crowd Control app to uninstall BepInEx, then launch the game normally through Steam. Then go back to the Crowd Control app, reinstall the mod, and relaunch the game.
