Lobby Setup

Support

Lobbies are “Early Access” and require CC Pro to create! Your friends and viewers can join completely free.

Lobbies are a new tool that bring multiplayer experiences to singleplayer games by sharing effects with your friends or viewers.

Please note that the Lobbies feature is completely unrelated to any “multiplayer lobby” that may exist within a game and due to balancing issues is not recommended to be used with any such lobbies. Instead refer to your chosen game’s Game Guide to learn about our multiplayer offerings.

Host Lobby

Party Mode (everyone receives all effects)
Whenever an effect is triggered on anyone in the lobby, that effect also relays to every other person in the lobby!

Host Mode (everyone receives your effects only)
Whenever an effect is triggered on the host (and only the host), that effect relays to every other person in the lobby!

Lock Lobby
Click Manage Lobby from the CC desktop app. Once locked, no new users will be able to join the lobby.

Join Lobby

To join a lobby…
1. Select the game from the Crowd Control desktop app and click “Lobby Setup”.
2. Press “Join Lobby” and paste the Lobby Code from the lobby host!
3. Once your game is setup and you press “Start Session”, effects will be relayed!

FAQ

Q: Can I use this in multiplayer games?
A: Host Mode and Party Mode Lobbies are intended to bring multiplayer experiences to singleplayer games. In multiplayer titles, lobbies may cause issues or unbalanced effects such as “Kill Player” instead acting as an entire team kill. For most multiplayer games we instead provide native support for the game right out of the box, all you need to do is install the mod and start your session like normal, no lobbies necessary. Example; Minecraft, Lethal Company, R.E.P.O., etc

Q: What does the “Beta” of Lobbies entail?
A: Lobbies are currently considered “Early Access” and require CC Pro to start one. Your friends and viewers however can join completely free. Well are looking to improve lobbies with your feedback, send in to our Discord!

Q: How many users can join my lobby?
A: Currently, there is no limit! Let us know if you think you had a big lobby in our Discord.

Q: My effects are not working?
A: Effects sent by lobby participants do not relay. As long as all members of the lobby have a green circle which indicates a successful connection to the lobby with an active sessions effects sent by your viewers should work as expected.
Each member of the lobby should still send themselves test effects to ensure they are working but again these effects will not relay.
