Have any Crowd Control Questions?

Our Team is quick to answer!

We've covered how to set up Crowd Control's default Disrupts before, but did you know you can build your own from scratch?

Step 1: Create a New Disrupt Pack

Head to the Disrupts page in the app and select Create New Disrupt Pack.

Name it whatever makes sense to you. You can run as many Disrupt Packs as you want at once, so organize them however fits your stream.

Step 2: Choose Your Disrupt Type

Click Add New to see your options. Right now, you can build:

  • Video and Image Overlays

  • Sound Effects

  • Streamer.bot Actions

More types are on the way, including Keybind and Controller Effects. Check the Disrupts Roadmap for what's coming next.

Step 3: Build a Video Overlay Disrupt

Let's walk through creating a Video Overlay.

Choose your file, then give it a name and description. These are what your viewers see when browsing your effects list, so make them clear and fun.

Next, customize how the Disrupt behaves when triggered:

  • Move, resize, or rotate it

  • Remove the background automatically with our built-in tool

  • Randomize its placement by selecting the Dice, so it shows up somewhere different every time

  • Enable Stacking to let the Disrupt play multiple times at once for maximum chaos

Once everything looks right, save your Disrupt. From there, you can price it just like any other effect.

Other Disrupt Types

Image Overlays work the same way as Video Overlays, with an added animation setting.

Sound Effects are exactly what they sound like: pick your file, set the volume, and you're done.

Streamer.bot Actions let you connect your Streamer.bot account and turn any Streamer.bot action into a Crowd Control Effect.

What's Next

We're excited about where Disrupts are headed, and we want your input. Let us know what features you'd like to see next.
