Vanity Name Setup

If you’re here you’re either being directed by a link that hasn’t been setup yet or are looking to learn more about Crowd Control vanity names and how to set them up.

With a vanity name, you can set a custom URL like: crowdcontrol.live/@crowdcontrol

Instead of sharing a long link tied to your ID, your custom name makes it easier for viewers to find, remember, and support you during your streams. Whether it’s your Twitch handle, brand name, or something unique, your vanity name becomes your personalized Crowd Control identity.

Why Vanity Names?

Because Crowd Control supports multiple platforms, there can be several creators with the same username. One on Twitch, another on YouTube, and so on. Rather than automatically assigning names that could cause confusion or overlap, Vanity Names let you choose and reserve the one that best represents your community.

Your vanity name becomes your unique identity across Crowd Control. Whether you stream on Twitch, go live on TikTok, or host events through Discord, your link will always stay the same, simple, recognizable, and truly yours.

Who Can Claim a Vanity Name?

To ensure everyone gets a fair shot at their desired name (and to prevent name squatting), Vanity Names are currently available to:

We’ll expand access in the future, but for now this helps us protect names and ensure creators who actively use Crowd Control can claim theirs first.

Name Guidelines

Our goal is to keep the system fair, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
