Crowd Control Setup Guides

1. Start with the App

• Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

• Select The Mortuary Assistant from the game list

• Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

2. Test Before You Stream

• Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

• Always test a few effects before going live

• Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

• Our mod uses MelonLoader

• Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

• If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

• Tested with the Steam version of the game

• Other game stores may work but have not been tested

• Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Notes

• Demon effects are locked during the opening tutorial shift. The app shows them as unavailable with the reason. They are not charged, and unlock when the tutorial ends.

• The mod shows its connection status on screen (Crowd Control: Connected / Waiting for app). Press F8 in-game to hide or show it

• The status only appears while the Crowd Control app is running

• Press F9 to force the mod to reconnect to the app

• System messages appear briefly when the connection is lost or restored

• The indicator and messages can also be turned off permanently in UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg (category CrowdControl)

• If the app is not detected, set AlwaysAttemptConnection in the same file

• Effects pause automatically during cutscenes and story scenes, then resume on their own.

Uninstall

• In the CC desktop app, select your game

• Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller
