Setup

We recommend using the Crowd Control desktop app if you are new to modding with this game. If you want to apply the mod yourself, feel free to follow these steps.

If you are confused about what version you have, check the in game pause menu. Under SYSTEM, in the bottom left you should see the full version details.

Latest Steam (v1.6.1170)

Use the Crowd Control desktop app to automatically install our mod!

If you want to manually add the mod, follow the below steps:

1. Download and install Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64).
2. Download our mod package: CrowdControl-SkyrimSE-161170.zip
3. Copy the contents of our zip to the Skyrim Special Edition\Data steam folder.
   • (Right click Skyrim SE in Steam > Manage > Browse local files)
4. Copy the CrowdControl.ini file from the zip to Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\.
5. Select “Skyrim Special Edition (PC)” from the Crowd Control desktop app, and Launch game!
6. Confirm you see “CrowdControl.esp” from the title screen Creation menu.
7. Press START in the Crowd Control desktop app.

Latest GOG (v1.6.659)

If you want to manually add the mod, follow the below steps:

1. Download and install Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64).
2. Download our mod package: CrowdControl-SkyrimSE-1-6-659.zip
3. Copy the contents of our zip to the Skyrim Special Edition\Data steam folder.
   • (Right click Skyrim SE in Steam > Manage > Browse local files)
4. Copy the CrowdControl.ini file from the zip to Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\.
5. Select “Skyrim Special Edition (PC)” from the Crowd Control desktop app, and Launch game!
6. Confirm you see “CrowdControl.esp” from the title screen Creation menu.
7. Press START in the Crowd Control desktop app.

Pre-Anniversary Edition (downgraded) Support (v1.5.97)

1. Download and install Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) version 2.0.20.
2. Download our mod package: CrowdControl-SkyrimSE-1-5-97.zip
3. Copy the CrowdControl.ini file from the zip to Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\.
4. Select “Skyrim Special Edition (PC)” from the Crowd Control desktop app, and Launch game!
5. Confirm you see “CrowdControl.esp” from the title screen Creation menu.
6. Press START in the Crowd Control desktop app.

Mod Organizer

Please keep in mind before installing Crowd Control alongside other mods that we only officially support the base game. We’ll do our best effort to help you if something goes wrong but be aware that conflicts could arise that we may not be able to help resolve.

We assume you already have SKSE installed as part of your instance, if not, run our Mod Setup and create a new instance. This is currently fully tested using Skyrim Special Edition v1.6.1170 only.

• Run our Mod Setup to grab the ccver which installs the base install of Skyrim.
  • Or grab the file here: ccver
    • It should be placed in your main install folder of the game, outside of MO.
• Use the zip from above and “Install a new mod from an archive” in MO2.
• Make sure our mod is set as Priority 0.
• Select Skyrim Special Edition from the Crowd Control desktop app, which activates the connector.
• Launch Skyrim with SKSE from MO2.
• Press Start Session from the CC desktop app.

Troubleshooting MO

If your setup is not working with the above info, it’s best to setup a new instances with ONLY the Crowd Control mod setup. Then test to confirm everything works as expected.

Once you confirmed CC is working, add in your other mods!
As another warning, not all mods may work with CC, so test before going live!
