Resident Evil Village

Getting Started

New to Crowd Control? Check out the

or check our

1. Start with the App

  • Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

  • Select Resident Evil Village from the game list

  • Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app). It installs REFramework, the REFramework.NET bridge, and the Crowd Control mod in one go.

2. Test Before You Stream

  • Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

  • Always test a few effects before going live

  • Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

  • Our mod is a REFramework.NET plugin built on REFramework by praydog

  • Auto Setup installs the validated REFramework development build for RE8 (API 1.15.0). The stable 1.5.9.1 release is too old.

  • Already have REFramework installed? Auto Setup will overwrite it with the validated build. Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

  • If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

  • Tested with the Steam version of the game

  • Other game stores may work but have not been tested

  • Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Notes

  • The mod shows its version at the lower right of the title screen.

  • If an effect does nothing, make sure you are in active single player gameplay and have loaded a save.

  • Timed effects (Speed Boost, Slow Movement, Slippery Ground, Bullet Time, Fast Time) restore their original values automatically when they end.

  • Having connection trouble? Attach re2_framework_log.txt from the game directory when reporting the issue.

Uninstall

  • In the CC desktop app, select your game

  • Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller (removes REFramework, the bridge, and the CC mod)
