Getting Started

New to Crowd Control? Check out the

1. Start with the App

  • Head to http://dev-c.com/rdr2/scripthookrdr2/ and download the latest version of Script Hook RDR2.

  • Open Crowd Control Desktop App

  • Select Red Dead Redemption 2 from the game list

  • Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of app)

  • When asked provide the ScriptHookRDR2 zip (we may auto-find the zip for you).

2. Test Before You Stream

  • You can only test effects after pressing "Start Session" in the Crowd Control app

  • Always test a few effects before going live to confirm effects trigger as expected

Skipping this step can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

  • Our mod package can be found here: CrowdControl-RDR2.zip

  • Other mods may work, but have not been tested with Crowd Control.

  • If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control.

No mod conflicts reported so far!

  • If you find a mod that causes issues, let us know!

Game Version

  • Tested with the Steam & Epic version of the game

  • Other game stores have not been known to work

Notes

  • Press F9 in-game to force the mod to reconnect to the Crowd Control app.

  • Press F8 to cycle the on-screen overlay.

  • Further settings can be found in CrowdControl.ini in your game install folder.

  • The ScriptHookRDRDotNet console hotkey has been changed to F7

Uninstall

To uninstall the Crowd Control mod:

  • From the CC desktop app, select your game.

  • Click the trash icon 🗑️ next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller.
