Install the Crowd Control Desktop App and follow the General Setup Guide

1. Start with the App

• Open Crowd Control Desktop App
• Select PEAK from the game list
• Follow the Auto Setup checklist (right side of app)
  Each item will guide you through required steps.
  • We support the main steam branch only.
    • Beta and others are not supported.
  • If using Thunderstore or Mod Manager double check
    the Profile selected has Crowd Control!

2. Test Before You Stream

• You can only test effects after pressing “Start Session” in the Crowd Control app
• Always test a few effects before going live to confirm effects trigger as expected

Skipping this step can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Notes

• Invite Friends
  • This may not open automatically.
  • Open your Steam Friend List, right-click a friend, and select Invite manually.
• Mod Requirements
  • The host must have the Crowd Control mod installed.
  • Any player who wants to receive effects on their own stream also needs the mod!

Mod Compatibility

• Our mod is built using BepInEx
• Other mods may work, but have not been tested with Crowd Control.
• If you run into problems, try launching the game with a clean profile (no other mods).
  • If you find a mod that causes issues, let us know!

Known Mod Conflicts:

PEAKAntiCheat & PEAKERRpcInfo – Prevents most Crowd Control effects from working.

Common Issues

Launching with Vulkan (instead of DX12) may crash the game when alt-tabbing.
Some mod managers (like Thunderstore) default to Vulkan.
To fix this:

• Right-click the game in Steam > Properties
• Set launch options to use DX12

Uninstall

To uninstall the Crowd Control mod and BepInEx:

1. Open the Crowd Control Desktop App
2. Select your game from the list
3. Hold ALT and click the “Mod Installed” button to run the uninstaller

NOTE: This only works if you previously used “Skip Mod Manager”.
