Crowd Control Setup Guides

1. Start with the App

• Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

• Select Nova the Squirrel from the game list

• Follow the Auto Setup checklist on the left side of the app

• Load the official ROM when prompted (see Game Version)

2. Test Before You Stream

• You can only test effects after pressing Start Session in the Crowd Control app

• Always test a few effects before going live to confirm they trigger as expected

• Skipping this step can lead to broken streams and confusion

Game Version

• Tested with Nova the Squirrel v1.0.6a (the official release ROM, nova.nes)

• Free download from the official release page: https://github.com/NovaSquirrel/NovaTheSquirrel/releases/tag/v1.0.6a

• The ROM is recognized by its MD5 checksum. Other versions may not work.

• The game is free and open source.

Notes

• This pack works with BizHawk (with the Crowd Control external tool)

• Ability effects are timed. Nova's previous ability comes back when the effect ends.

• The One-Hit KO effect restores Nova's health afterward if she survives.
