Getting Started

New to Crowd Control? Check out the

or check our

1. Start with the App

  • Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

  • Select Moon Sweepers from the game list

  • Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

  • Be online for the first game launch after setup. The mod framework downloads Unity base libraries on that launch.

  • Launch the game, reach the main menu, then quit. Launch it once more. The mod interop builds on the first launch and needs one restart to finish.

2. Test Before You Stream

  • Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

  • Load into a shift and wait about 20 seconds. The mod holds effects back while the world settles.

  • Always test a few effects before going live

  • Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

  • Our mod uses BepInEx 6 (bleeding edge, IL2CPP) plus the MoonSweepers BepInEx Patcher

  • Auto Setup installs the correct versions for you

  • Mod package: MoonSweepers-CC.zip

  • The game moved to IL2CPP in patch 1.0.3. Older "Moon Sweepers Mod Loader" and BepInEx 5 guides no longer work.

  • Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

  • If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

  • Tested with the Steam version of the game, patch 1.0.3 or newer (tested on 1.0.5)

  • Other game stores may work but have not been tested

  • Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Notes

  • Effects only change your own astronaut. Effects marked "Host or solo only" are refunded while you are a crewmate in someone else's shift.

  • The hex effects (Clean a Hex, Dirty a Hex, Full Re-dirty Moon) also refuse while any crewmate is connected, even when you host.

  • Timed effects pause while the game is paused and end when the shift ends.

  • Conflicting effects do not overlap. For example, the gravity effects and the speed effects wait for each other to end.

  • The mod log lives at Moon Sweepers\BepInEx\LogOutput.log. Lines that start with [CC] show every effect request and its result.

  • Back up your saves before installing mods. Saves live in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers.

Uninstall

  • In the CC desktop app, select your game

  • Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller
