1. Start with the App

• Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

• Select Friendly Steps from the game list

• Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

• The installer uses BepInEx 6. BepInEx 5 will not load in this game.

2. Test Before You Stream

• Effects can only be tested after pressing Start Session in the app

• Always test a few effects before going live

• Most effects target your own player and work in co-op whether you host or join

Mod Compatibility

• Our mod uses BepInEx 6 (bleeding edge, Mono)

• Auto Setup installs the correct version for you

• Mod package: FriendlySteps-CC.zip

• Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

• If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

• Tested with the Steam (Windows) version of the game

• Other game stores may work but have not been tested

• Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Notes

• Some effects need the host's session (Round of Drinks, Snack Delivery, Dynamite, Flip Day/Night). If you are a guest, these show as unavailable instead of charging viewers.

• Slow Motion and Fast Forward are solo-only. Time effects would desync the co-op rope.

• In co-op, every player runs their own mod and their own Crowd Control session.

• Press F9 in-game to force the mod to reconnect to the Crowd Control app.

• Press F8 to toggle the on-screen diagnostics overlay.

Uninstall

• In the CC desktop app, select your game

• Click the trash icon next to Mod Installed to run the uninstaller
