Getting Started

New to Crowd Control? Check out the

or check our

1. Start with the App

  • Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

  • Select Dying Light from the game list

  • Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

2. Test Before You Stream

  • Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

  • Always test a few effects before going live

  • Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

  • Our mod is a native .asi plugin loaded by Ultimate ASI Loader (winmm.dll)

  • Auto Setup places it in your game folder, next to DyingLightGame.exe

  • Mod package: DyingLight-CC.zip

  • Built for single player. Co-op is not supported yet

  • Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

  • If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

  • No mod conflicts reported so far. Let us know if you find one!

Game Version

  • Tested with the Steam version of Dying Light (Enhanced Edition, AppID 239140)

  • Works on Windows and Steam Deck

  • On Steam Deck, force Proton in the game's Compatibility settings, then add this to Launch Options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command%

  • Other game stores may work but have not been tested

  • Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Common Issues

  • Mod not loading: check that winmm.dll sits in the same folder as DyingLightGame.exe, not in a subfolder

  • Steam Deck: both the Proton setting and the Launch Option are required, then restart Steam

  • The mod writes a log at CrowdControl/CrowdControl.log inside the game folder

Uninstall

  • In the CC desktop app, select your game

  • Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller
