Crowd Control Setup Guides

1. Start with the App

• Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

• Select Dark Souls Remastered (Mod Engine 2) from the game list

• Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

2. Test Before You Stream

• Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

• Always test a few effects before going live

• Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

• Our mod uses Mod Engine 2

• Auto Setup installs the correct version for you

• Mod package: DarkSouls-CC.zip

• If you used the old Crowd Control mod (dinput8.dll), Auto Setup removes it

• Seamless Co-op is not compatible with this mod

• Other mods (Item Randomizer, Daughters of Ash, etc.) may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

• If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

• Tested with the Steam version of Dark Souls Remastered (patch 1.03.1)

• Other game stores may work but have not been tested

• Want another store supported? Submit a request in our Discord, #cc-requests

Notes

• The mod forces the game to run offline. Click CANCEL if asked about online play.

• Your saves are redirected to a DARK SOULS REMASTERED Crowd Control folder. Your original saves are left untouched.

• Crowd Control saves cannot be used without the mod. Going online with them can get your account banned.

Uninstall

• In the CC desktop app, select your game

• Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller
