Crowd Control Setup Guides

1. Start with the App

• Open the Crowd Control Desktop App

• Select Amnesia: Rebirth from the game list

• Follow the Auto Setup checklist (left side of the app)

2. Test Before You Stream

• Effects can only be tested after pressing "Start Session" in the app

• Always test a few effects before going live

• Skipping this can lead to broken streams and confusion!

Mod Compatibility

• Our mod runs inside the game folder as winmm.dll. No mod framework is needed.

• Works with the Steam release and the GOG (DRM-free) version of the game

• Also works alongside the game's custom stories, Workshop mods, Ultimate ASI Loader and the High FPS mod

• Other mods may work, but are not tested with Crowd Control

• If you have issues, try with just Crowd Control

Game Version

• Tested with game version 1.04 (Steam build 7398003)

• The DRM-free (NoSteam) exe is supported too

Notes

• Press F8 in-game to hide or show the overlay.

• Effects are never written into saves. A checkpoint taken while timed effects run reloads clean, with the effects back the way they were.

• Mod log: %LOCALAPPDATA%\amnesia-cc\amnesia_cc.log (Proton: inside the game's prefix, steamapps/compatdata/999220/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/amnesia-cc/)

Uninstall

• In the CC desktop app, select your game

• Click the trash icon next to "Mod Installed" to run the uninstaller
